| A Vision Coming True |
| The mission of San Fernando has continued to grow with each passing century. Today, a great and bold vision is becoming a reality. With the commitment and generosity of our parish and community at large, we will one day see the restoration, preservation, and expansion of San Fernando Cathedral. |

PHASE ONE
After many years of planning, fundraising, and work, Phase One of the City Centre Campaign, the restoration of San Fernando Cathedral, was completed. The Cathedral was dedicated at an invitation-only ceremony on March 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. During this ceremony, the new main retablo was revealed. This event began a series of celebrations held throughout the week, including an Open House on Saturday and Sunday, and a concert on Friday evening. |

PHASE TWO
Phase Two of the City Centre Project, the construction of the Cathedral Centre, has been completed. The Dedication of the Cathedral Centre took place on Sunday, October 26, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. The Cathedral Centre houses a museum, gift shop, coffee shop, rental hall, counseling rooms, bride's/reception parlor, sacristy, and television control rooms. |

PHASE THREE
On Sunday, April 6, 2003, the groundbreaking ceremony for the SBC Community Centre at San Fernando was held. On January 26, 2005, the grand opening of the community center was held. The new facility consists of McCombs Hall, whcih seats 550 for special events and receptions, parish offices, four meeting rooms for community programs, classes, and practices, the Pan American Centre for Social Services, and a health center including services of a full-time Wesley Nurse from Methodist Ministries. (Additional health services will be added beginning September 2005. The top floor includes a residence for the clergy. With the construction of the SBC Community Centre at San Fernando, our services to the community will be expanded to include programs such as tutoring and mentoring, literacy classes, immigration assistance, crisis intervention, counseling, and health and wellness education. The Community Centre will be an important advancement in the development of community partnerships and will be the physical Centre for community agencies to meet and reach the people most in need. |
